Moving your computer into the DMZ of a Linksys(tm) router.

When you first enter the linksys router setup interface you will see this at the top of the web browser:

In order to place the computer into the DMZ you will need to know its internal ip address.
This address is usually supplied via DHCP by the Linksys.

Click on DHCP up top, then click on Clients Table on the bottom of the page ->

This will open up the DHCP clients list:

Find your computer in the list, if it does not show click Refresh and it should appear.
If it does not then it is not getting its internal ip address from the router via DHCP.
You will have to get the internal ip address some other way in that case.

To place a computer into the DMZ click Advanced on the upper right and then click on DMZ.
Then enter the last bit of your ip address and click Apply.

This totally exposes that computer to the internet. The safety features of your linksys will not be in use for that computer.
It is much better to use port forwarding to open the necessary ports for your iP server.
